Partial COD Policy

What Is Partial COD?

“Partial COD” (Cash on Delivery) allows customers to pay a portion of the order value upfront during checkout, with the remaining balance due upon delivery. This approach offers flexibility and helps reduce order cancellations and returns.

How It Works

  • When selecting Partial COD, customers pay a specified fixed amount (e.g., ₹100 or ₹999) or a percentage (e.g., 30%) of the order total upfront. The remaining amount, including any applicable COD handling fee, is paid at delivery.

  • Example: If the total order value is ₹10,000 and the partial deposit is 30%, ₹3,000 is paid at checkout, and ₹7,000 plus COD charges are collected upon delivery.

Why We Use Partial COD

  1. Reduced Cancellations and Returns: Securing a partial payment upfront ensures commitment, lowering RTO rates.

  2. Increased Buyer Confidence: Customers are reassured they aren’t paying full price until delivery, especially beneficial for first-time or high-value purchases.

  3. Improved Cash Flow for Sellers: The partial advance supports operational costs before the final payment is complete.

Terms & Conditions

  • The advance deposit paid during checkout is non-refundable, even if the order is canceled after dispatch or delivery.

  • Partial COD is not eligible for discount coupons or promotions, and coupon codes may not be applied toward deposit amounts unless explicitly permitted.

  • The COD balance and handling fee must be paid in full at the time of delivery. Failure to pay upon delivery may result in refused delivery and order cancellation.

Eligibility & Limits

  • Partial COD may be available for orders within a specific minimum and maximum cart value range (e.g., ₹500 to ₹5,000) based on risk assessment or logistics feasibility.

  • Certain product categories—such as fragile, perishable, or high-value goods—may be excluded from Partial COD eligibility to minimize risk and losses.

Order Confirmation & Fraud Prevention

  • Orders placed using Partial COD may require additional verification steps—such as confirmation via email, SMS, or phone call—to prevent fraud and validate the customer’s intent.

  • In some cases, COD may be disabled based on factors like customer location, order history, or flagged risk profiles. Partial COD helps balance flexibility with fraud mitigation
